Yoga 

I started my yoga journey when I was looking for an alternative to a traditional gym workout. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the movement of the body with the breath and the feeling of working with my body, understanding and celebrating what it can do rather than punishing it for what it couldn’t.

I am an advocate of feeling strong and healthy and having a positive relationship with your body, whatever it’s shape, size or ability. Yoga can have a fantastic way of encouraging people to drop their ego in class because we all have things that we find easier and all have things we are looking to improve, and those things are very different for each person. As cheesy as it sounds, I can assure you that you will soon see the only person worth comparing yourself with on the mat is you, which can be really refreshing.

I have a background in medical imaging which gives me a unique insight and understanding into what is going on ‘beneath the surface’ of the body. I have completed my yoga teacher training with Mataji Yoga School and am subsequently a registered yoga instructor which requires me to regularly attend workshops to maintain my own professional development and refresh myself to benefit my students.

My classes are fun, relaxed and down to earth, being tailored to my students needs on the day and providing a caring and safe environment.

Meditation and More

I am a storyteller at heart and I seek to provide people with a safe opportunity to explore and tell their stories, their way. This bodes well for being a marriage celebrant as I can assist couples by weaving together a ceremony is uniquely them in a manner that they see fit…and besides, who doesn’t enjoy a good love story?!

As far as meditation and mindfulness go, I have had my own practice for a number of years and am always interested in the latest research showing the effects of meditation on the body and mind. My practice are non denominational and explores a number of different types of meditation and mindfulness practices so I can assist people in discovering what works for them so they can confidently develop their own practice at home.
